Bat Control Sacramento
Bat control is a unique field. While most bats are
in attics and can cause extensive damage with their
droppings, it requires specialized training, equipment,
techniques, attention to detail and extensive knowledge
of bat biology and behavior.
Effective bat control requires a full site inspection,
and 100% of the structure must be properly sealed, including
gaps as small as 1/4 inch wide. This can obviously become
quite labor intensive. In some instances the primary
entrance/exit holes are the only access points available,
and basic repairs and an exclusion may be sufficient, but many times there are areas that only experienced bat removalists would know.
Once the bats are removed exclusion work MUST be done
to prevent the bats from returning to the roost site.
Any bat control professional should perform this task
and provide a warranty with their work once completed.

Bat Exclusion
The best way to get rid of bats
is also the safest - for both the
bats and the humans involved. This
is to exclude them. But in this area,
it is better not to treat them in
May, June or July because these months
are when the "pups" are
born and still unable to fly. Bats
that live with us must still go out
each night to hunt. If they can't
get back into your house in the morning,
they will have to go somewhere else
to live.
All of our work is guaranteed. Our
methods are as follows:
Initial Inspection
During our first visit, we visually
inspect your building to determine
the scope of infestation, identify
obvious entry points, and get an idea
of how we’ll need to customize exclusion
devices to suit your building’s configurations.
Exclusion Device Installation and
Peripheral Entry Seals
We install customized exclusion devices
at all major entry/exit points, and
seal all the secondary or peripheral
entry/exit points.
Sealing of Major Entry/Exit Points
Five to seven days after the exclusion
devices are installed, all of the
roosting bats will have left your
building in search of food or water.
Extremely loyal to roosting sites,
the bats return again and again but
are unable to re-enter, so they seek
alternative roosting sites. At this
point, we come back, remove the exclusion
devices and permanently seal points
of entry.

U.S. Bat Information for Bat Removal
Bats may be the most misunderstood animals in the United
States, although as consumers of enormous numbers of
insects, they rank among the most beneficial. Almost
all United States bats, and 70 percent of the bat species
worldwide, feed almost exclusively on insects and are
thus extremely beneficial. In fact, bats are the only
major predators of night-flying insects. One bat can
eat between 600 and 1,000 mosquitoes and other insect
pests in just one hour.
While most United States bat species are insectivorous,
bats in other parts of the world feed on a variety of
items in addition to insects. Many species feed primarily
on fruit, while several types feed on nectar and pollen.
Fruit bats perform an extremely important function as
seed dispersers. Nectar eating bats, including the federally-listed
endangered lesser long-nosed (Leptonycteris curasoae
yerbabuenae) and greater Mexican long-nosed bats (Leptonycteris
nivalis), are important pollinators. Many plant species
depend almost entirely on bats for pollination. Call us today for bat removal.
